Although Alarmed and Errands works very well for the vast majority of users on the latest versions of iOS (up to and including iOS 18), there are a few rare / uncommon problems that some users may experience:
1) Crashing when editing a reminder or tapping on Settings: The first thing to check is if you have Larger Accessibility Sizes enabled in the iOS Settings app under Accessibility and have selected a large text size. If this applies to you, the workaround is to disable Larger Accessibility Sizes. You can then pick any of the normal text sizes, from smallest to largest, without issues, under iOS Settings app > Display & Brightness > Text Size. If you still need larger text even with the largest “normal” text size, I suggest you try enabling Display Zoom (iOS Settings app > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom > Larger Text).
2) Crashing when editing a reminder or tapping on Settings: If the description in #1 above does NOT apply, you may be experiencing an uncommon, relatively rare problem. The current best workaround is to look in iOS Settings app > General > Keyboard and remove extra keyboards that may not be needed. Note that some keyboards work fine while others cause problems (FYI, the emoji keyboard is NOT a problem). Try removing keyboards one at a time to see which one is causing the issue. Although it is relatively easy to dynamically add keyboards for special needs and them remove them afterwards, I fully realize that if you actively need the extra keyboard, this isn’t a perfect solution. I am continuing to research this and will update here if I find more information.
3) There appears to be an issue with the specific scenario of marking as done and/or snoozing directly from a notification, when relentless 1-minute nag-me is enabled for that reminder. At this point, the best solution is to a: use a custom nag-me instead of relentless, which can be set to 1-minute or higher intervals or b) mark as done or snooze relentless nag-me's from within the Alarmed app and not the notification itself.
4) When editing a reminder note you may find it difficult to position the cursor where you want it. There are two workarounds for this. One is to edit the note within the regular reminder Edit screen. Another is to tap-and-hold to position the cursor where you want it, then you can type normally.
